Registrar/Chief Executive of Joint Admission and Matriculation Board, Prof. Dibu Ojerinde and his second wife, Barrister Yinka Ojerinde after he lost his first wife and mother of his elder children, Olaolu and Dayo in a ghastly motor accident, was always unlikely to survive. However, the painful and messy way the end game played out stinks.
Sources told say the Igboho-born in Orelope Local Government Area of Oyo
State administrator’s second marriage was rocked by series of scandals.
A fairytale marriage, inside sources said that trouble really started
when the former National Examination Council, NECO’s registrar was
allegedly discovered together in a compromising situation with a lady
related to his wife by his spouse in the couple’s matrimonial home in
Igboho (pictured left).
The incident allegedly tore the couple apart to the point that the
estranged wife threatened to spill the beans. It was said that at a
time, the warring couple went diabolical and in the long run parted
ways.
It was further gathered that Prof. Ojerinde’s marital life experienced
severe turbulence, however, the first Nigerian Professor of Tests and
Measurement’s personal finances has been top notch.
Sources said that the JAMB Registrar was an example of public office
holders who steal us blind to acquire choice properties and undertake
some investment activities.
And text Prof. Ojerinde severally on his three mobile lines to deny or
confirm the allegations that he was involved in illicit enrichment,
there was no response. However, investigation revealed that the JAMB
Registrar owns Sapati International School and Trillium Learning Centre,
a secondary and primary schools respectively, in the Ivy League where
the rich with deep pockets pay handsomely to have their wards.
Equipped with modern educational facilities, Sapati International School
is in Ilorin suburb along Ajase-Ipo Road. The school principal, Mr.
Whitebread R.M is a Briton expatriate (pictured right above with
students). Her sister company, Trillium Learning Centre (pictured right
below), a nursery and primary school is tucked away in Yidi Road in the
same Ilorin, the Kwara State capital, and it is equally an up-scale
school where rich parents across West African countries enroll their
kids.trillium 3
Impeccable sources said that the ‘Oluomo of Igboho land’ (a chieftaincy
title conferred on Prof. Ojerinde by the Oba of Igboho), by proxy
allegedly owns a micro-finance bank, Osaka Micro-Finance Bank located
around the popular Owode Market in the sleepy little town.
Interestingly, Osaka Micro-Finance Bank is the only bank in the entire Igboho besides a Wema Bank branch.
We gathered that the JAMB Registrar has investments in the downstream
sector, and his petrol stations are scattered across the country. The
long list includes, an MRS Station at Sango-Kunlende Area in Ilorin,
which is managed by his brother, Alhaji Muri, an AP in Ile-Ife managed
by his son, Dayo, Taplan Filling Station along Ife Road and Doyin
Filling Station at Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.
It was also said that Prof. Ojerinde has business interests in Singapore and Australia.
Investigation revealed that the JAMB Registrar recently set his son,
Laolu up in business. A pub and named Sound Bar, it occupies one of the
many properties of Prof. Ojerinde in Ilorin G.R.A. An A-list night club
in Ilorin, Sound Bar(pictured below) at different times played host to
top artistes, including 2Face.
Another of the Registrar’s investment is Cheng Marble, a marble production factory located near Sapati International School.
