Amosun wins BJAN award for rebranding, rebuilding Ogun state

The Governor of Ogun State, Senator Ibikunle Amosun has received an
award for his effort at rebuilding and rebranding Ogun state by Brand Journalists Association of Nigeria, BJAN.
Amosun, whose effort at repositioning the state via various reconstructions of several infrastructures across the state, was awarded in the State Rebranding and Repositioning category.
According to the organizer of the award, Senator Amosun embarked on aggressive reconstruction of old roads, bridges while also building modern roads and bridges in other to make the state appeal to investors at both local and global market.

We didn’t consult the state on this award because we wanted an independent assessment of development in the state. We sent our team to the state and by the time they came back with reports which includes visuals, we couldn’t help but honour the governor for his great effort in rebuilding, rebranding and repositioning the state,” said the Chairman of BJAN, Mr. Goddie Ofose.

Other awardees include, Dangote Group, Best Effort in Repositioning Nigeria (Manufacturing); EFCC, Best Effort in Repositioning Nigeria (Crime Fighting); First Bank of Nigeria Plc, Best Effort in Consistency (Banking); GLOBACOM, Best Effort in Innovation (Telecommunication); Indomie Noodle, Best Effort in Niche Marketing (FMCG); Jumia, Best Effort in Driving Change (Online Retail); Legend Extra Stout, Best Effort in Quality & Taste (Alcoholic Beverage); Mainstreet Bank, Best Effort in Improved Service (Finance), MR. BIGGS, Best Effort in Brand Consistency (QSR); Oracle Agency, Best Effort in Innovation (Experiential Marketing); Sure-P, Best Effort in Creative Logo Design (Government Agency).

Others are UBA, Best Effort in Growth & Expansion (Banking); X3M Advertising, Best Effort in Digital Advertising (Creative Agency) and Zenith Bank Plc, Best Effort in Driving Innovation & Technology (Banking).

While receiving the award on behalf of Governor Amosun, the Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Mr. Yusuf Olaniyonu said Ogun State the quest to rebuild the Gate Way State as enunciated in his vision, is a task his administration “embarked upon with every sense of determination and mission to salvage the fortunes of the state”.
