First Bank Clocks 120 Years, founded in 1894

First Bank has been around for 120 years but I am sure most of you do not know this. The bank, which was founded in 1894, is celebrating its 120th anniversary and the launch of a new corporate identity. The new logo still has the Elephant symbol but looks more colourful now.
Here is what the Group CEO of FBN Holdings, Mallam Bello Maccido, said during the unveiling.
“Our story is a story of humble beginnings- from a small bank with a paid up capital of £12,000 to one of the most enduring African brands. We have seen the Nigerian public through the turn of two centuries and even a new millennium. Our story is the story of Nigeria and the Nigerian people,” says Maccido.
FBN Holdings is the new parent company for FirstBank and other banking, insurance, mortgage, etc businesses. See more logos after the cut.
