Some unidentified Gunmen have stormed the house of the
younger brother to the Speaker of Bayelsa House of Assembly, Mr Kombowei Benson
and abducted him. Mr Iniokpoemi was said to have been abducted around 3.00am
this morning by the unknown gunmen.
Mr Hilary Okpara, Commissioner of Police in
Bayelsa, confirmed the incident and said the police have already started investigating and the culprits apprehended soon.
Meanwhile, 90-year-old Madam Florentina Paulker, mother of
Sen. Emmanuel Paulker representing Bayelsa Central who was kidnapped in July is
yet to regain her freedom. The commissioner said few arrests have been made and
hopefully, the woman will be freed soon. Madam Florentina was also kidnapped in
2010, but regained her freedom after eight days in captivity.
